Hackberry Hill

Hackberry Hill is one of Arvada's North subdivisions, located to the east of Wadsworth Boulevard and the Indian Tree Golf Course, offering easy access to all parts of the Denver Metro area. According to Wikipedia, here is how Hackberry Hill received its name: "At the top of a hill was the site of a lone hackberry tree which served as a landmark to early explorers and settlers in the region. The tree was unusual, both for its location, since the only other scattered trees in the area grew next to water, and because hackberry trees were not native to the region. As a result, there were a variety of stories to explain the origin of the tree, including a Native American legend that a great chief had been buried there along with a medicine bag containing hackberry seeds."

Hackberry Hill Elementary School is one of the top-rated elementary schools for both Jefferson County and the State of Colorado. The School offers Elementary level Spanish class, Orchestra and Chess Clubs, and the Gifted and Talented programs are superior in content. This neighborhood school might be an excellent choice for parents wanting more out of a school for their children. Hackberry Hill Park, the elementary and middle school are all close-knit and within walking distance to the majority of the community.

Chris Vandahl does an amazing portrayal of Steven Tyler, including all of his dance moves, costumes, stage show and amazing recreation of Tyler's outrageous vocals! This band is considered the best Aerosmith Tribute around the globe! In 2011 Aeromyth was featured on the front page of the Orange County Register after their performance at the OC Fair! Not only does AEROMYTH have an amazing Steven Tyler impersonator, but all band members really look and sound like the Aerosmith band members they portray.

Feed Me The Rock Sand Volleyball Tournament

In honor of Tim Kwasniewski we will be hosting a sand volleyball tournament at Hopper's Sports Grill for friends & family. We will have 12 teams (must have 1 girl no more than 3 guys) that will be playing round robin style, double elimination. Please sign your team up on the Eventbrite Page ASAP! We ask each player make a $10 donation. This small donation will go towards helping the Kwas family get back on their feet after the 6 long months of being in the hospital with Tim. Join International birth worker, Speaker & Spinning Babies® Approved Trainer Tammy Ryan for a Spinning Babies® Workshop! Understand the role of muscles and ligaments in preparation and progress in childbirth. Effects of posterior, solutions for transverse lie, and labor patterns when baby needs to rotate in the pelvis. Reduce unnecessary cesareans due to lack of progress in labor. Charge your practice with the new paradigm in childbirth by identifying where the baby is so you can: Align the uterus so baby can curl and enter the pelvis as a small, compact, and more active participant. Release tight ligaments or muscles which may pull or twist may relieve pelvic pain now or discomfort during birth. Open the pelvis to let baby move down during the birth process Workshop is open to: Childbirth Educators Doulas Midwives Labor & Delivery Nurses Physicians Chiropractors Any practitioner working with pregnant/laboring moms (Body Workers) This workshop has been approved for 7 contact hours from DONA International.
