ASBC at Progresh - Saturday, March 23,2019
StartMar 23
EndMar 23
ASBC at Progresh Registration deadline: Friday, Mar 22, 2019 Progresh is an innovative training center dedicated to ski, snowboard, skateboard, BMX and tumbling progression, in a safe and comfortable environment. Their mission is to provide a unique action sports experience, for all skill levels, to Colorado’s Front Range and beyond. This event is open to people of all ages who have ASD, as well as their siblings, friends, and family. We started this event with kids and teens in mind, but it's developed into an event for all ages and it's a great workout!  This is similar to the open gym format, however all participants need to arrive promptly for safety orientation and to sign waivers. Parents or guardians are required to remain at the facility. Progresh coaches will guide us as we explore all Progresh has to offer. This includes trampolines, airbags, tumbling, slacklining, and more. If you want to try the ski/ snowboard or skateboarding lesson, please call Progresh to set up a private lesson for an added charge. If you haven't given this activity a try because you feel you or your child needs a more gradual introduction to the facility and the rules, then please contact Julie Darrow at info@autismboulder.org to set up a 1:1 private session. This is not intended to be a free private lesson to improve skills. It is meant to facilitate a gradual introduction for someone who has trouble trying new things in a group setting. ASBC Participant Waiver and Photo Release: By completing this registration, I hereby expressly acknowledge that this activity, like many sports involves movement and physical activity, and that injury or mishap are possibilities in spite of all reasonable safeguards and precautions taken, I accept such risks as reasonable and proper, and agree to hold harmless the officers, principals, staff and volunteers of the Autism Society of Boulder County should injury or mishap occur in this regard. I give permission for the participants to be photographed and/or videotaped in print or electronic media by Autism Society of Boulder County. I acknowledge and agree that photographs and videos may be edited and used in whole or in part as desired for the purpose, which may be produced, duplicated, distributed and used for informational, promotional or other public purposes.  I understand that photographs and video are not my property and there will be no compensation to me.

Thomas Gabriel ( Grandson of Johnny Cash )
StartMar 28
EndMar 28
T.G. - as those closest to him call him - is the oldest grandchild of Johnny Cash. Predominately raised on the road, he often dreamed of a life as a successful career musician. When he was young, his grandfather would call him onstage, to sing “When the Saints Go Marching In. At 21, he was in the studio trying out his voice. Johnny would say, “Son, you sound a lot like I did when I was younger; work on those vocals.”Johnny also insisted that T.G. have a back-up option, so he went to the police academy, and into police work.Life and adversity has kept him from pursuing his dreams, but he has regained control over his life, and is back in the world that holds so much potential for him.Along with his voice that sounds so much like his grandfather’s, he brings a wealth of stories from his memories of his childhood and of growing up a member of such an iconic family. This is an extremely intimate venue and tickets will be limited. https://www.forbes.com/sites/pamwindsor/2018/11/21/johnny-cashs-grandson-thomas-gabriel-comes-full-circle/?fbclid=IwAR2xpe25UgzDwMuSYvvJP-vtYsvl2FI5WQ5_WQ1dC-CWozbVCJEeoAIgEo0#4d3e2dbb4f13
